My hope is that someone would be able to help me understand why it's not giving anything but the HTML and if there's some configuration adjustments I can make that should correct. My nginx location config for calibre-web is listed below. When I use the example nginx configuration I'm only getting the HTML and no CSS or javascript as far as I can tell ( example). I use Calibre Web, but theres also Kavita for comics/books /Kareadita/Kavita.

I'm using this method to secure my server and then using Docker images behind it for all of the applications I'm running from this server, including calibre-web. Kavita is a fast, feature rich, cross platform reading server. It breathes new life into Calibre management for those of us who want to do so on a headless machine and it's a beautiful interface. Its built with a newer version of Qt, has a new UI style that (in my opinion) looks much better and fixes the cut-off text in tab names, is more compatible with macOS dark mode and is notarized to get past gatekeeper on Big Sur Find it on the download page or get it right here: SoulseekQt-.dmg. If you do not specify any paths, all the libraries that the main calibre program knows about will be used. You can specify the path to the library folders as arguments to calibre-server. First let me say that I'm REALLY happy to have found this project. The calibre Content server exposes your calibre libraries over the internet.
